Defining The Purpose In Your Work

Designing for customer service solutions gave me purpose to solve problems with AI, NLP, ML, and conversation design for virtual chatbots in voice and chat modalities. AI, bot building, and consumer service is sophisticating and complex. I was driven to simplify these factors into a viable SAAS product.

To maintain meaning in your work, define your purpose. Reflecting on your motives will spark inspiration, commitment, and passion.

Purpose

Define whose lives you are improving, what you're helping them to achieve, and the reasons for doing this.

Helping customers complete tasks and get answers efficiently, so that they can feel accomplished and informed.
Helping AI bot designers create intelligent chatbots to best serve their customers.

Mission

Define the technologies you are innovating and the problem you are solving.

Automating AI technologies + streamlining bot building capabilities + enabling conversation design = businesses efficiently providing customer needs.

Output

Define the product solution you will provide to your users.

AI design tools that enable businesses to create great conversational AI experiences.

Outcome

Define the experience principles and benefits of the product you will provide.

Experience will deliver intelligent, fast, and easy workflows and services that will result in increased productivity, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth.

Accomplishment

Define what you get out of it personally and professionally.

Design innovative products and acquire knowledge and expertise in AI, bot building, and conversation design. Feel accomplished and gratified that businesses and customers have their needs met.

Summary

  • Adapt this methodology to the purpose in your work.

  • Ensure you have foundational motives that support your drive to design effective products that satisfy user needs.

  • Strive to satisfy your professional and personal goals.

  • Importantly, take pride and love what you do.
